If you want to learn more about how CBD works, what cannabidiol is, you can access our guide on CBD and here are some of the most common questions:
CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that interacts with your endocannabinoid system, helping to balance functions such as sleep, mood, and stress management. All our products are tested by independent laboratories to guarantee their purity and effectiveness.
CBD products can help you:
CBD and THC are important components in the cannabis plant, we call them “cannabinoids”. The clearest difference between CBD and THC is that CBD is not “high”, nor is it addictive, therefore, CBD products without THC are not classified as drugs. THC, on the other hand, does get you high and can become addictive, it is the psychoactive component of cannabis.
Terpenes are chemicals that give plants their aroma and flavor, and they make up the bulk of essential oils. These contain antifungal, antibacterial properties, and protect hemp plants from pests as well. Therefore, terpenes contribute significantly to the effectiveness of CBD.
El CBD de espectro completo contiene todo los fitoquímicos del cannabis, incluyendo el THC. Esto quiere decir, que el CBD de amplio espectro tiene propiedades psicoactivas, a diferencia del CBD aislado o de espectro amplio.

Cannabaceae are a large family of flowering plants, which make up more than 99% of the species in the plant world. It includes Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and other varieties. The Cannabaceae family consists of the following cannabis subspecies: Canna indica (Indian hemp), Canna edulis (West Indian hemp), Canna japonica (Japanese hemp), and Cannabis indica var. imperata (short in stature).
Most people believe that sativa is the most popular. It is usually the last to flower and the tallest growing among the different sativa subspecies. We can find some strains of this plant with low levels of THC (hemp) and others with high levels of THC (marijuana).
Indica has a shorter life cycle and flowers earlier, bears more fruit, and grows less than the previous subspecies. Other than that, it does not include any varieties of hemp. This species is classified as cannabis because all of its members are considered marijuana.
Ruderalis is a tiny plant (rarely over 60cm) that is extremely long-lasting and difficult to eradicate with THC in its flower, but more CBD. Another important distinction between it and its siblings is the fact that it flowers quickly if left for 10 weeks without exposing it to light, unlike the previous two strains.
The structure and method of production vary depending on the type of cannabis. All three types are distinguished by factors such as their genetic makeup, growth patterns, and even pheromones. However, when we talk about strains, things get a little more complicated; are essentially the different variations that each subspecies of the Cannabaceae species can undergo.
The case of hemp and marijuana is an excellent example of the importance of varieties. Yes, both are classified within the same subspecies due to their genetic similarity, but they contain different levels of chemicals and many more distinctions. Their different flowering habits are undoubtedly the most obvious difference.
Hemp vs Marijuana
The hemp plant, on the other hand, is a type of cannabis sativa that typically has less than 0.2% or 0.3% dry weight THC (depending on the laws of each country), and is mostly used to create textiles, biodiesel, and nutritional supplements such as CBD. Its CBD content is usually extremely high (>10% by dry weight generally), which explains why its fruit has no psychotropic effects. This plant is legally grown virtually everywhere in the world for these reasons.
Cannabis indica and cannabis sativa with more than 0.3% THC by dry weight are known as marijuana. It is a type of cannabis sativa and/or cannabis indica that is used to obtain psychoactive fruits. It actually has a THC concentration of 10% to 25% by dry weight.
Although it can contain a lot of CBD (even more than 20%), it can also have very little dry weight (less than 1%). For this reason, this plant is commonly used for recreational purposes and for the production of oil (especially from its seeds), despite the fact that the consumption of marijuana flowers is prohibited in most countries.
The most significant difference between marijuana and hemp is that hemp contains very little to no THC, the chemical component of cannabis that causes a euphoric high.
Full-spectrum CBD usually has a certain smell of marijuana. However, CBD isolate or “broad spectrum” does not emit this smell.
The first thing is the way of extraction: if it is made using solvents such as supercitric CO₂, only the desired components are extracted, obtaining a solution free of residues or additives. The quality is also determined by the way it is grown, because if it is natural, the quality will be higher. The second thing is to check the amount of milligrams of CBD per container. If a 10 ml bottle contains less than 250 ml of CBD, it will most likely be completely ineffective. Other factors you should look at are whether the company conducts studies independently, and whether CBD is full-spectrum or broad-spectrum, as CBD isolate has been shown to be ineffective, possibly because it lacks the flavonoids, terpenes, and other cannabinoids that work together with CBD.

If you are currently on any medication, consult with your doctor before purchasing any CBD products. More research is required to confirm which medications CBD can be combined with. For example, it has been found that taking CBD together with blood thinners is not recommended.
It depends on each person’s needs. It is advisable to choose a concentration of CBD oil with which 3 or 4 drops a day are effective and to increase the dose if it is not working.
The percentage of CBD contained in each oil must be indicated on the label. 5% CBD contains 500mg of CBD, while 30% oil contains approximately 3000mg of CBD per 10ml.
The Court of Justice of the European Union ruled out CBD as a drug in 2020 as it has not been shown to produce harmful effects in humans. In fact, full-spectrum or isolate CBD contains negligible concentrations of THC, the psychoactive component of cannabidiol, in addition to being non-addictive, a typical characteristic of drugs.
It is legal to market CBD in Spain on the condition that the THC content does not exceed 0.2%. However, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Products does not yet consider it a food product, but merely a topical product for cosmetic use.
Buying CBD is completely legal, even traveling with the product to another country where it is considered legal is also allowed.
CBD can be purchased both in physical stores and online.
In Spain, it is legal to grow cannabis with a maximum THC concentration of 0.2% in each seed. In addition, the seeds must be certified by the EU and grown far from populated areas.
